Sleep

We spend between a quarter and a third of our lives asleep. But how little is too little and how much is too much? The ideal amount of sleep required is different for everyone and depends on such factors as age, lifestyle, health and genetic make-up. The things we do know is that we are sleeping on average about 2 hours less per night than our gardparents did at our age. Men sleep less than women. Children and adolescents sleep more than adults, who in turn, sleep more than older people. Technology is increasingly impacting on the time we "fall asleep" and "wake up". Physical exercise - particualry in natural sunlight - helps us to sleep more soundly. We know also that a "good night's sleep" improves our daytime energy levels, productivity, health and mood. So, how do we coach Sleep? Let our Mentors walk you through some techniques that might help your clients to get the sleep they deserve!
