Stress

Everyone feels "stressed" from time to time. Stress is a normal response to triggers (known as stressors) which stimulate production of certain hormones - such as adrenaline and cortisol - to help us deal with the situation. Chronic stress can have serious health repercussions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity and diabetes. There are a number of good ways to coach someone who is feeling stressed. But as always, professional discretion is required to determine whether your client may also need to be referred to a medical practioner and/or psychologist.
